Introducing SelectaDNA® Security Marking

for Medals and Militaria

SelectaDNA is a non corrosive marking liquid produced by Selectamark Security Systems plc of the United Kingdom which gives your collectibles an unique identity and allows missing or stolen items to be directly tracked back to you - the owner.

The SelectaDNA water based liquid compound contains a unique DNA identity  code number as well as numerous microdots each of which also contain the same number unique to the purchaser. The compound can be located by way of UV light and the microdots can be read under 30% magnification thereby becoming visible to the naked eye putting your (the owner’s) own mark on the property – be it a medal, a cap badge or any other valuable.

The compound allows the owner to mark all his or her valuables with compound containing the same unique identity code number. Thereafter should any of the items be recovered a simple check with a UV light and magnifier will confirm the ownership of the property.

Each pack of SelectaDNA comes with the compound, an applicator and a UV light together with instructions for use. Reorders for Commercial packs containing the same unique identity code number can be made.

The DNA code along with the customers details are held on Selectamark’s secure LPCB approved database thereby allowing recovered property to be traced back to its rightful owner after analysis - even a tiny molecule of compound can be used to determine who the item really belongs to. As a further means of identification, each pot of SelectaDNA contains at least 1000 microdots.

SelectaDNA is endorsed by the Association of Chief Police Officers (UK) as well as the Crime Prevention Departments of the United Kingdom. Use of SelectaDNA in certain circumstances can reduce your insurance premiums – you may speak to your insurer.
