HAC lecture

posted 30 Nov 2011, 02:34 by John Leighton
The lecture given by John Leighton on the Honourable Artillery Company was well attended and received.

A full and detailed lecture, together with military music and much rapid fire content was delivered.

Members afterwards praised the lecture, feeling that they had been immersed in the uniqueness of the HAC.

Copies of the HAC journal were available afterwards for members to peruse.   John Leighton hopes to research more concerning links between the HAC and the Honourable East India Company, given that one of the HAC's previous COs, Paul Le Mesurier, was also a director of the HEIC at a time of the expansion of company forces and control in India and elsewhere.
